END OF YEAR PARTY 2024

Weather: Scattered cloud, light breeze on mountain.
Hash Cash: N/A. Run fee included in cost of End of Year party.
Total Hashers: 23 (52 for End of Year party).
Trail: Chalk talk by Chief Stoker (edited): “Walk up Le Ngoc Han, left at Hem 105 and up steep concrete to Vi Ba, turn right for several hundred metres then follow red tapes off sealed road LH side onto grassy track and up steep, rocky Powerlines trail.
“Enjoy city views at top of powerlines, then left over the rocks and follow jungle track around and down to plateau crossroads above Vi Ba.
“Turn right onto Waterfall trail, follow around mountainside and exit onto Vi Ba near Ho May Park security gates. Left down sealed Vi Ba road past coffee shops and three pagodas to Hem 105 turn-off, then complete full circle back to Nang Vung Tau.
“Total distance ~4.5km.”
Highlights: City and Small Mountain views from top of powerlines near Ho May Park wall. Bay views from Waterfall trail and Vi Ba descent.
Lowlights: Tourists feeding monkeys then surprised when emboldened monkeys attack for more food and loose objects!
Down Down: N/A, but welcome cold drinks and brief socializing enjoyed before leaving to change for End of Year party.
Refreshments: N/A. But a scrumptious 7 course feast and drinks served later by Giấy Garden Restaurant at End of Year party (with music and vocals by popular band Echotune).
Circle: N/A, but trail informally rated 10/10 for challenging climb to Ho May Park wall. City and Small Mountain views. Thanks and congratulations to Hares Chippy, Chief Stoker and Jolly! 
On on on: Mr C’s Speakeasy for quick relaxation before heading home to change for End of Year party.
