BIG MOUNTAIN – CAMBODIAN TEMPLE TRAIL

Weather: High cloud, cool breezes on Tran Phu side of the mountain.
Hash Cash: 1pm run fees Secs, Chom Chom, Bull Ant @ Mr. C’s Speakeast, 3b Lê Ngọc Hân, Ward 1.
Total Hashers: 33
Trail: Those that had their own transport went to Ngọc Dung restaurant, 79 Tran Phu and then taxis / bus to Trần Xuân Độ, Hem 33, where those without transport had already taken taxis. Chalk Talk by Secs who explained it was an approximately 2.5km trail that would take us up a narrow Hem and emerge at  Chùa Nam Sơn - aka the Cambodian Temple. After exploring the temple, head to the rear of the temple and follow the trolley rails and red ribbons through the jungle until we arrive at Hem 444. Go directly accross the road and then descend the ~600 steps at Hung Thang temple and then back to Ngọc Dung.
Highlights: Intricate Khmer style carvings at the temple. Exotic flora providing perfect photo opportunities
Down Down: Nhà hàng Ngọc Dung, 77-79 Trần Phú. Downstairs by the beach front
Refreshments: Pork noodles, watermelon, pineapple, Saigon Beer, Revive, Soft Drinks
Circle: Hares were applauded. Virgins François from France and Aleksei from Russia - introduced by Ragnar Shaggypants were welcomed
