Weather: Mostly sunshine, but jungle shade.

Total Hashers: 32 Trail: Dismounted Hashmobile at roadside stalls between car park and bridge above swimming pool café approx halfway up Nui Dinh. Down steps, over bridge for Chalk Talk by Secs. Then up stairwell to mountain dwellings and follow red ribbons down rocky mountainside and paved track past the ever-expanding Phat Quang pagoda and monastery. Continue following red ribbons along rocky trail – some uphill but mostly level or down – cross small streams then short climb to lookout rocks to rest legs, pose for photos, and enjoy panoramic views of surrounding jungle and beyond to Long Son, Big and Small mountains (Vung Tau). Descend steep rocky trail and “on on” to rockpools and waterfalls. Follow sign to rockpool #4 (of total 5) then cross narrow footbridge to poolside dining area. Total distance approx 3 km. Highlights: Lookout rocks, rock pools (swimming, net fishing, waterfalls). Down Down: Suối Đá (Rock stream), pool #4. Refreshments: Saigon Green, water, softies, grilled chicken pieces, whole boiled chicken, mixed salad, cucumber, congee, dipping sauces. Circle: Follow red tapes down rocky trail from rock pools to vehicle parking area for group photo and Circle. Trail rated 10/10. Hares Mr T, Secs, Chippy, Bull Ant thanked. Weather: Scattered cloud. Few minutes light rain at end of trail.
Hash Cash: 1 pm run fees, Mr T & Johnny @ Nắng Vũng Tàu, 5 Lê Ngọc Hân, Ward 1. Total Hashers: 24 + 1 Hash dog Trail: Dismounted in Minh Dam mountain car park for Chalk Talk by Secs, then “On on” up a partly paved track to 1st lookout point. Mostly but not all downhill to second lookout point. Fairly flat and across two streams, flat again, then 87 steep rock steps to third lookout point. Long, steep, rocky descent until finally level then through residential area on Long Hai side of the mountain to Ngoc Xuong eco-tourism resort. Total distance approx 5.5km. Highlights: 3 lookout points, shrines and mountain dwellings. Down Down: Khu du lịch sinh thái Ngọc Xương (Ngoc Xuong eco tourism area, aka Eco Resort). Refreshments: Saigon Chill, water, softies, banh mi, water melon, bananas. Circle: Trail rated 50/10(!). Hares Mr T, Bull Ant, Secs, Chippy thanked. BIG MOUNTAIN - WELCOME KLANG H4

Weather: Overcast, cool.
Hash Cash: 1 pm run fees Mr T, Johnny @ Nắng Vũng Tàu, 5 Lê Ngọc Hân, Ward 1. Total Hashers: 89 (36 VTH3/SH3, 53 KH4) Trail: Chalk talk by Secs welcomed KH4 (Klang, Malaysia) and SH3 (Saigon), described the trail and markers, then it was “On On” via Hem 105 and up moss-covered slippery slope to Vi Ba, then Hem 36 and the red, yellow and blue pagoda staircase into the jungle. Follow red eco-tapes across and above ‘the big house’ then up, around and over many boulders to ‘painted rocks rest area’ next to Ho May Park wall at top of telegraph poles to enjoy panoramic city views and take photos. Down rocky ‘telegraph poles trail’ to Golden Buddha (more photos), then down again to Vi Ba and back to start. Total distance approx 5 km. Highlights: Socialising and cultural exchanges VTH3, KH4 (Klang, Malaysia) and SH3’s Cement Trader, Non-Stop Clock, For Rent, Lubricant and One-minute GM (organizer), fully justifying KH4 Grand Master Left Ball’s quote: “The Hash is borderless”! Views of Vung Tau City and Small Mountain from rest area at Ho May Park wall. Photos at Golden Buddha during descent. Special interest: Learning that the crow on Klang H4’s logo symbolises the birds’ prevalence in the city. On-trail directions via Wild Boar’s (KH4) Hash Horn. Circle frivolity courtesy KH4 and friends! Down Down: Ốc Nóng Thảo (@Nắng Vũng Tàu). Smiling staff tirelessly served hordes of hungry Hashers! Refreshments: Saigon Chill, water, softies, seafood salad & rice buffet, water melon. Circle: Hares Mr T, Secs, Chippy, Bull Ant thanked. “Tough trail” rated 9/10. Two Hash Virgins introduced. Klang Hash (KH4) and SH3 visitors welcomed. KH4 invited to continue the Circle. Much frivolity followed with singing, dancing, karaoke, never-ending conga line and a ‘flaming’ birthday cake! SMALL MOUNTAIN - HẢI ĐĂNG LOOP

Weather: Heavy rain at start, clearing later.
Hash Cash: 1 pm run fees, Mr T @ Nắng Vũng Tàu, 5 Lê Ngọc Hân, Ward 1. Total Hashers: 15 hardy souls and 1 dog who didn’t let the rain spoil their fun! Trail: Eco-carts to start point at Hai Van pagoda on Ha Long (road) for Chalk Talk by Secs. Sheltered inside pagoda until heavy rain eased then climbed 240 steps at the back and effectively followed a figure 8 pattern on and off Hải Đăng (Lighthouse Street), with at least one café and some jungle along the way. Total distance approx 6.5km including return to kennel across Front Beach.Highlights: Watching the fishing boats and lightning in Vung Tau Bay while sheltering from rain in Hai Van pagoda. Admiring religious artefacts inside the gates of Quang Minh pagoda. Special interest: Twin horses shrine at top of jungle short-cut to Hai Dang. Model car racing on Tran Phu, Front Beach near end of trail. Down Down: Nắng Vũng Tàu (VTH3 Kennel). Refreshments: Saigon Chill, water, softies, banh mi, water melon. Circle: Trail rated 10/10.
