Last Run of 2017!

Last Sunday's run being the last run of the year coincided with the last day of the year. 
Flying Finn, our Finnish trail finder, decided like the previous week, for a less strenuous trail. 

The trail consisted of a 10km walk from Ru Ri to Mountain Valley at the foot of the the Jesus Statue and return to  base at Hon Ru Ri.Twenty Hashers enjoyed the trail past the Front beach, Ferry Station along Halong with hazy sunshine and a cooling breeze coming in off the South China Sea. Then onwards past the Black Pearl, to Happy Valley only to hastily retreat back to Hong Ru Ri where we are greeted with cold cans of San Miguel carefully prepared by Buddha( VTH's Beer Doctor.

This week there were no sinners only saints. Faulty Brakes wished everyone a Happy New Year on behalf of their mismanagement and highlighted the successes of the 800th run and the 800th party at Sky Garden, and the Christmas party at Vung Tau Marina.

Next year we hope to arrange an overnight hash before the end of April and preference will be given to regular hashers. 

We look forward to another year of hashing and thank all those who contributed to 2017, foodies, hares,  scribes etc. On-On 2018 and next week’s trip will be to Long Hai.


We’ll meet again on Sunday, as always, at Hon Ru Ri:  1 pm for 1.30 pm start - in any weather!
