LONG HAI MOUNTAINS
Hares: Flying Finn, Slipper,
Hash Flashers: Chom Chom,
Report: Faulty Brakes
The first run of the decade Run 922 of 2020 took place in Long Hai last Sunday sculpted by those old pair of Finnish foxes, Flying Finn and Slipper. Previously the young and the old, all part of our pan international Hash had gathered at Uno Coffee to load the nectar and vital supplies for the forthcoming odyssey. Principal bean counter Cleaver was away in South Africa attending a family wedding and "young Faulty Brakes and Mr T” stood in to ensure the faultless flow of hash revenue into the hash account.
Bus loaded, beer, softies and Banh Mi on board we trundled towards our destination and despite a few wrong turns we reached the beginning of today’s torturous and excellent trail.
The trail took in a long arduous walk uphill on a newly built concrete path in the blazing sun and at the end there was Flying Finn waiting to guide us into the forest through thicket bush and bamboo. Similar to the old nursery rhyme, "The Grand Ol’ Duke of York" where he marched his troops up to the top of the hill and now he marched them down again. This time our Down Down venue was the Eco Lodge where tired hashers sat around recovering from their earlier exploits. We welcomed back 'Chom Chom' the former Phan Chu Trinh mafia boss, ace photographer and all round good egg.
We had to forgo the circle due to late arrival of Boozer. However this did not deter our hashers from enjoying the copious quantities of SAGOTA beer and softies being downed by our thirsty hashers. Now with the light slowly fading it was time to board our bus but not before the advice to visit the toilets was issued. All on board music playing heading for HQ.
Homeward bound and Uno Coffee soon came within our sights. We thank everyone who chipped in to help return our eskies to our store… it was game over, ball burst, for the first run of 2020. Let’s hope we will all be around for the first run of 2030...On-On!, Happy New Year to all from Mismanagement.
